Wish I had better news

Well my weight has been all over the show in the last four days – from being 1.4 lighter through to this morning – my official weighing in day another 100g gain – that’s 200g in the last two weeks.

Well obviously I was gutted last week and having put in a great effort this week words kinda fail me as to how I am feeling – upset…pretty upset :( I know its very feasible that I have hit some sort of plateau but to have the 10kg mark dangling out there and not even being able to hit that when everyone else seems to be doing so well makes me feel like kind of a failure  – I know I’m not but I just wish I knew what I could do to kick start the weight loss process again and after a newly purchased juicer 2 weeks ago – Damians super juice doesn’t seem to be working its magic for me either.

  1. Buggar. Damian’s advice to someone else when plateauing was to look at her meal size and check that she wasn’t scrimping on her protien. Also to change 1 thing in your routine just to shake your body up. Plateauing is a real pain in the a… I’ve been there and come out the other side just as you will. A good idea now is to measure yourself and compare this weeks with next or if you have them, last weeks. A good ego boost is to try on the clothes you were wearing at the start of the Challenge (if you still have them that is!) Keep at it and see you tomorrow night at Richards!

  2. Hi Ruth, you’re being too hard on yourself… yes, it’s a pain, but we’ve all hit plateaus, they’re a frustrating pain in the @#($*&. I went through the 1st challenge pretty much steady, but since the start of the 2nd challenge I’ve hit several plateaus, so my loss for the 2nd challenge has been 6kg, but hey, all together it’s over 24kg! It usually helps to change something in the menu, like not have fruit for a day, or have more protein… drink more water… Just keep thinking about the big goal, being healthy, and you’ll be looking back at this time with a proud smile. Hope this week goes great for you! Desi
